We’re two people who travel to understand places — not just to see them.
Stories Around the World started from a simple idea: there’s always more to a place than what you see at first.
We don’t travel to check places off a list.
We travel to stay a little longer, to ask questions, to try things we don’t fully understand yet, and to see what a place feels like beyond its image.
Sometimes that means sitting at a table longer than planned.
Sometimes it means getting lost, or changing plans completely.
Sometimes it just means paying attention.
We’re interested in the parts of a place that don’t always make it into guides:
Not just what a place looks like — but what it means.
When we arrive somewhere, we try to go a bit further than the obvious.
We’ll still see the well-known places — but we don’t stop there.
We try local food and learn where it comes from.
We talk to people about their daily life.
We look into the history behind what we’re seeing.
We pay attention to the details most people walk past.
That’s where things start to feel real.
Sometimes it’s cities, sometimes it’s smaller places.
Sometimes it’s planned, sometimes it’s not.
We like slow travel, long walks, local food, and leaving space for things we didn’t expect.
Stories Around the World is a collection of experiences, thoughts, and moments from the places we visit.
It’s not a guide.
It’s not a list of “top things to do.”
It’s just what we found — and how it felt.
If you’re also curious about what places are really like, you’ll probably feel at home here.
